In the 65th minute Tiago Novis dribbled the ball down the right side of the field serving in a driven cross to Kyle Witzel who headed home Bellingham United’s fourth and final goal on the night.

“Tonight was a great win for our guys as we had an absolute total team effort as we traveled over with a shorter roster than normal. Every player contributed to this victory. The players on the pitch gave everything against a very quality Spokane side. We had some players that had not played many minutes this season who were asked to step up and give some quality minutes to secure the three points for United tonight.” commented Bellingham United head coach Lance Calloway. “Tyler Visten (United goalkeeper) had a massive match tonight for our squad as he came up with some key saves and really put a damper on the Spokane attack.”

Bellingham United now 5-2-1 on the season with 16 points sit in second place in the league table. Next week Bellingham United travels to Seattle to play the Seattle Stars on Sunday, June 26. Bellingham United’s next home match will be Sunday, July 12 as they host South Sound FC at Civic Stadium at 3 PM.
