Tacoma Narrows Join the WISL!

TACOMA, Wash. – The Western Indoor Soccer League is excited to welcome Tacoma Narrows FC to the league for the 2018-2019 season. Owned and operated by Puyallup native Preston McDonald, the team will train and play games at the Tacoma Soccer Center and becomes the second Tacoma based team in the WISL. The addition of the Narrows FC brings the league back up to an even six teams for its fifth season and each team will once again play a ten game regular season.

“Tacoma Narrows FC was founded out of a passion for adult soccer in the Tacoma region,” said Narrows owner Preston McDonald. “We formed through the Greater Seattle Soccer League and have been playing in various tournaments over the last year. Joining the WISL is the next step of our journey in becoming an elite adult soccer club in Western Washington”

Narrows FC joins the WISL just months after joining the Western Washington Premier League for the 2019 outdoor season. They join Bellingham United, the Oly-Pen Force, and the Oly Town Artesians as WISL sides that also field outdoor teams in the spring and summer.

“The WISL will give us the exposure we need to help us in our first year of playing in the WWPL next spring,” continued McDonald. “Our guys are hungry and ready to prove that we can compete at the next level, both indoor and outdoor.”

Narrows will get their first taste of indoor action as a member of the WISL when they participate in the annual WISL Preseason Tournament on Saturday, November 3rd at Oly-Pen Sports in Bremerton. Registration for non-league elite men’s indoor teams is still open and costs just $150. Visit wislnews.com for more information.
